Two things were important to Edscha. First, they wanted room controls to run the A/V equipment in the room, but they wanted it to be mobile without cables or connectors. Second, they wanted us to find a dual purpose whiteboard that could act as a normal whiteboard and projection screen without hot spot associated with standard whiteboards when an LCD is projected on the surface. The reason for this special type of board was that half the conference room was glass, and they only had one place to mount a projection screen and whiteboard. When the projection screen was in use, they couldn't use the whiteboard, which caused a problem.

The Fox River Audio Visual design team was able to design a system that not only net Edscha's needs but surpassed them as well. For wireless room controls, the design team chose the VPX wireless room control system form AMX. With the VPX system, presenters could operate the AV equipment from anywhere in the room. As a result, they were not tied down to one seat at the conference room table.

For the multi-purpose screen, a product from Polyvision not only net there requirements, but went two steps farther. The Polyvision TS-600 is able to not only act as a normal whiteboard and projection screen, but it is able to act as an electronic whiteboard and interactive whiteboard as well, offering them more flexibility then they had ever imagined possible. The TS-600 can be used as an electronic capture board. Everything written on the whiteboard is captured and saved to a computer. This allows the ability to e-mail notes from the meeting to all those who could and could not attend the meeting, ensuring that everyone had the exact same notes. Also,when used in conjunction with the LCD projector, the TS-600 turns into an interactive whiteboard giving end users the ability to annotate over computer projected images and save the changes without interrupting the original file. Everything and then some is what our design team put together for Edscha North America.
